What is a Genesis Stone?
Genesis Stone is the nickname given to banded iron formations, also known as BIF. These stones are sedimentary rocks composed of alternating thin layers of jasper, hematite, or magnetite. They are extremely hard and old stones dating back to 1.8 - 2.5 billion years. Because of their tremendous age, practically all BIF formations have endured faulting, fracturing, folding, compaction, veining, intrusions, and metamorphism. Their colors range from dark gray, red-brown, and golden yellow.
Genesis Stones received their name from their connection to the early origins of life. They are a "secondary" or "trace" fossils. This means they are rocks that contain evidence of life but no primary evidence, such as bones. They represent proof of one of the first forms of life on the planet: photosynthetic cyanobacteria, sometimes known as blue-green algae.
How were Genesis Stones formed?
Genesis Stones were created in ancient iron seas by oxygen-forming bacteria, laying the groundwork for life on Earth. It was later carved on the Wyoming plains by the sun, wind, and sand.
It is believed that these pieces were formed under unique conditions in Earth’s history that have not occurred since. They are theorized to have formed as a result of iron precipitation from the Earth's historic oceans. Photosynthetic bacteria produced free oxygen, which oxidized the copious dissolved iron at the time. Because oxidized iron is insoluble in water, it will precipitate out of the oceans and onto the muddy sea floor. The results of the alternating bands of iron oxide and shale are unknown. It’s believed that they are due to seasonal fluctuations. The iron layer formation or the shale (mud) formation never seemed to last long enough to build a layer thicker than about 10 cm.

Genesis Stone Ceremony
A simple ceremony you can do to bring out the powerful currents of success and fortune in new ventures and life paths using a Genesis Stone.
Form a simple Inzug rune. You can do this on the stone with your finger, on a board, or on paper upon which you place the stone. Now add fire. You can use Sunstones, Sunstone essence, oil of Sunstone, or light a candle nearby and hold the stone above the flame. Now seek the blessing of the Angel Gazardiel for the venture.
To make this even more effective, do this at Dawn or Dusk because Ageel Gazardiel is the angel who assures the sun rises and sets each day.
