Powellite is a calcium molybdate mineral, and one of its standout traits is fluorescence; it can glow a bright yellow, white, or sometimes bluish color when exposed to UV light. When tiny crystals of Powellite are trapped inside Amethyst during its formation, they create a really unique effect. The stone looks like normal purple Amethyst in regular lighting, but under UV light, hidden glowing inclusions suddenly appear.
