Introduction to the Meaning and Uses of Apatite
Apatite is a dual-action stone, known for its positive use of personal power to achieve goals. It clears away confusion, apathy or negativity, then, stimulates the intellect to expand knowledge and truth, which may be used for personal growth or for the collective good. It is a Stone of Manifestation, promoting a humanitarian outlook and service to others. [Raphaell, 163][Melody, 126][Hall, 62]
Yellow Apatite, also called Gold or Golden Apatite, is one of the purest crystals of the Yellow Ray, the vibration of mental clarity, strength of will and manifestation. It brings a sunny, spiritual energy to the aura, inspiring hope and passion for life, and instilling a sense of self-worth and self-confidence. A solar stone, Yellow Apatite assists both men and women in strengthening the male side of their personality by developing assertiveness and the courage to take risks. Yellow Apatite is also a stone of learning, enlarging one's capacity to take in and process new information, especially information that helps in manifesting one's dreams and desires. [Simmons, 43][Ahsian, 44]
Yellow Apatite ranges from pale yellow-green to a deep golden yellow. The name Apatite is derived from a Greek word meaning "to deceive" because the variety of colors and formations in which this stone occurs makes it easy to mistake for other minerals. It may be yellow, blue, green, brown, gray or colorless, but the Apatite stones used for metaphysical purposes are primarily higher-quality crystal pieces in blue, green and gold. [Simmons, 41]
Apatite is the stone associated with animal conservation, because it is composed of the mineral phosphate that makes up the teeth and bones of all vertebrate animals, as well as their horns, antlers or tusks. [Eason, 230]
Yellow Apatite Uses and Purposes - Overview
Yellow Apatite enhances creativity and awakens the finer, inner self. It is a stone of the future and brings knowledge to those attuned to it. It may be used as an interface point between consciousness and matter to translate our humanitarian aspirations into healing, information, communication and teaching. [Melody, 126]
Yellow Apatite combats listlessness and apathy, and provides an invigorating and lively, sociable attitude. It helps one be more outgoing and optimistic, and increases the drive to get things done. [Gienger, 15]
It provides the courage to take risks, and the clarity to know which risks are worth taking. As a note of caution for those with an overabundance of natural confidence, this stone may make one too assertive for the taste of others, especially in a work environment. However, this property can be advantageous in a competitive situation, from sports to corporate dealings. [Simmons, 43]
Yellow Apatite is particularly useful in starting new ventures. It supports creative ideas and bringing them into reality, as well as developing the business skills needed to make a living from one's passions. [Ahsian, 44]

Yellow Apatite balances the appetite and is supportive of healthy eating. It is a great eliminator of toxins in the body. It stimulates metabolism and the endocrine system, improving and mobilizing energy reserves, and can be an aid in weight lose or enhancing the effects of exercise. [Ahsian, 44][Gienger, 15][Hall, 63]
Yellow Apatite energizes the spleen, gallbladder, liver and pancreas, and improves digestion. [Ahsian, 44][Hall, 63]
Yellow Apatite treats Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, lethargy, and depression, and overcomes the lack of concentration and inefficient learning. [Hall, 63]
Yellow Apatite Emotional Healing Energy
Yellow Apatite is a positive crystal, instilling hope and optimism. [Gienger, 15] It releases old blockages that may limit one's acceptance of prosperity or abundance and overcomes fear of success.
It heals negative patterns, and provides the energy for creative thoughts and action needed to achieve one's goals. [Ahsian, 44]
Apatite helps eliminate over-activity, under-activity, blockages and congestion in all of the chakras. It is excellent for balancing yin-yang, and for raising kundalini energy. [Melody, 126] Gold Apatite stimulates the will center at the Solar Plexus Chakra and the action center at the Navel Chakra. [Ahsian, 44]
Yellow Apatite activates the Solar Plexus Chakra, the energy distribution center and the chakra of relationships. This chakra is located between the ribcage and navel, and controls the immune and digestive systems. When in balance physically, you have strength to fight infections, are free of allergic reactions, and are able to use the nutrients you ingest. When the solar plexus is out of balance spiritually, you feel fear - of the disappointment or displeasure of others or to subordinating your life and pleasures to the will of others. Spiritually, when the solar plexus is in balance you are free to interpret the world through your own thoughts and emotions and not live in fear of violating the dictums of others.
Gold Apatite identifies with the Sacral Chakra, or Second Chakra, located below the naval and above the pubic bone at the front of the pelvis. It controls the flow of energy and is the center of gravity of the body. It is the center of the Life Force of the body, and controls the flow of information from the body to the mind and from the mind to the body. Gut feelings, intuition, and other "non-linear" communication comes from this chakra. When it is out of balance the symptoms will manifest themselves as confusion, over dependency on others, repression of feelings, inability to feel joy, fear of sensuality or sex, and frustration. When it is in balance you have grace, feel pleasure in life, find you are flexible and can "go with the flow" and do so in good spirit.
Yellow Apatite Spiritual Energy
Yellow Apatite is an exceptional prosperity stone for spiritual understanding. It helps one to experience Divine Will, and to base choices and actions upon Divine guidance in connecting one's passions and dreams with the steps necessary to manifest those dreams, rather than simply relying on one's personal will. [Ahsian, 44]
Apatite is an aid to stimulating clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, and awareness of the devic worlds. It can provide connection to UFOs, and access to past-life insights and telepathy. [Melody, 126]
Yellow Apatite brings the power to solidify new interests and new relationships, helping you to see things in a different light. It adds clarity, waking things up and adding zest, optimism, and meaning to your life and relationships. Light Yellow crystals ensure that new relationships get off to a good start by aiding in the establishment of good communication. They help you focus on the needs of the person or group you are getting to know. Dark Yellow Apatite is an excellent aid when decisiveness, precision, or persuasiveness is needed.
Gold Apatite brings success, enthusiasm, happiness, and power. It is traditionally the color of kings, riches, and the sun. Gold touches a deep part of our minds, conjuring up images of mystical places and adventure. Light Gold crystals provide us with the simple pleasures of life–cheerfulness and contentment. Dark Gold Apatite has a deeper, more pronounced sense of devotion and commitment, providing us with a mature enthusiasm and ability to share a lifelong commitment of care and love.
With spiritual discipline, Apatite encourages the development of deeper states of meditation and reflection. It provides an inner clarity, peace, and oneness with the higher-self. Used with other crystals, Apatite facilitates end results with greater ease. [Melody, 126]

Yellow Apatite Amulets and Talismans
Yellow Apatite is a Seeker Buffer crystal. Seekers contain the crystal energy structure that aligns the natural energy of the crystal to the natural power of the human mind to find the way to new horizons and new capabilities. They're pointers, directors, and compasses; the fresh start crystals. These are talismans of the scientist, the adventurer, the hunter, wanderer, and explorer. They're also crystals of the student and the researcher.
Buffers are excellent at restoring balance in situations that have become unstable. They are weathering stones that help us get through hard times. They soften a blow and put things right. They protect us from outside influences, temper shocks, and add some emotional padding to our efforts to deal with the bumps and bruises of life.
Gold Apatite utilizes Fire energy, the energy of enthusiasm, warmth, brightness, illumination and activity. It is Yang in nature. It is the energy of heat, action, emotion and passion - of ideas, of concepts, and sex.
