Lesson 4 - Crystal Healing (part 15)
A special note to the student.
In the many years of research and development of this course, it became clear that there was a lot more to effective crystal healing than could be found in the typical crystal healing book. Research into the mysteries of the human mind, studies at leading medical research institutes on patient experiences and expectations, and the wisdom of ancient texts such as the Picatrix and other manuscripts lead us to a world of discovery.
We found the secrets of when, why, and how crystal healing works, (and as importantly, why it fails). We have captured these secrets in a handbook called The Ten Secrets of Crystal Healing. It is not sold in stores, nor is an ebook on Amazon, or available elsewhere on the Internet.
To be absolutely clear and transparent, the discoveries now documented in the book drove us to develop the Crystal Inner Circle. The book, in a way, is like a textbook on nutrition. A nutrition textbook would tell you what foods have what effects, how diets should be developed, etc. It would not be a cookbook. It would tell you what to do, but not tell you how to follow its advice. For that, you need a cookbook and some help from someone who knows how to cook.
Similarly, The Ten Secrets of Crystal Healing reveals what you need to know and do to be successful in using crystals for healing, but it does not give you the methods, the “recipes” to use the secrets, nor have advisors ready to help. That is what created the need for the Crystal Inner Circle.
So we provide the book to the members of the Crystal Inner Circle so they can actually use the knowledge they find. A non-member would be extremely frustrated because they would have knowledge that could improve their life but have nowhere to turn to get guidance and direction on how to use it properly.
Even with that, in this part of the Crystal Healing section of the Basic Crystal Users Course, we will briefly introduce these secrets so you at least know what else is out there to learn and why we are so proud to bring you the benefits of the Crystal Inner Circle. Obviously, we encourage you to at least try the Crystal Inner Circle and read this book, now that you have mastered one of the secrets.
Introduction
As we discussed in earlier parts of this Lesson Four, the power to heal and grow is native to the Universe, not only to the healer or the crystal. Currents of creative life force set in motion long ago cascade through the multiple levels of Creation from galactic to molecular. Some call these currents the Universal Life Force, Chi, Qi, Subtle Ether, Astral Light, God’s Love, or Prana.
The Picatrix, an 11th-century text on magic and astrology, tells us these “life-enabling, healing currents are refracted by the stars and planets like rays of light striking moving crystals, and descend to the Earth with greater or lesser force, depending on the complex geometries of astrological relationships,” (planetary locations and Earthly alignment and forms).
The true crystal healer is the one who knows how to catch these currents at the moments of their greatest power, store or focus the flow of their energies in crystals that are appropriate to them, and apply those energies to healing needs effectively in a caring, appropriate environment at the optimum time and location.
Crystal healing is not as mysterious as it is often portrayed. Rather it is, like all healing regimens, based on true understanding, deep caring and kindness, insightful knowledge, and consistent practice.
Let's begin with a summary of the first Secret of Crystal Healing.
SECRET ONE
Healing Intent Must Be
Contemplated and Manifested
by the Healer
Intention is not a measurable physical artifact, but it is the “secret sauce” that makes the other elements of anything into a meaningful whole. Consider a playwright: his or her play is not merely the function of the quality and quantity of the paper, ink, words, or syntax. The thoughts and feelings of the writer are equal, if not superior, components. Without them, there is just a pile of papers and a dictionary on the table; but no art. It is the intention of the writer - to convey a meaningful experience for the audience - that links the elements and gives birth to the art.
To heal with crystals, you must first clearly envision the result you intend. You must be able to describe it, feel it, hear it, savor it, and surround yourself or your client with it. You can only manifest what you can contemplate. The intention, the Universal Life Force, and the crystals then can be combined to create the result you have contemplated and imagined.
Only that which is contemplated, imagined, and manifested with the kindest intent will cure.
This first Secret teaches us that to heal others or your own body and spirit, you must first contemplate the results you intend. You must do so with pure kindness with no thoughts of that which is negative, but rather the positive results and life that is envisioned.
SECRET TWO
The Conscious and Subconscious
Must Be Treated Simultaneously
The mind has two parts, and each must be treated for successful crystal healing. The Second Secret is to treat both the conscious thoughts, attitudes, and manifested issues with simultaneous treatment of the subconscious “director” underlying the issue.
But we cannot directly access either our subconscious or that of our clients or friends we are trying to help. How can we let the subconscious talk to us and how can we communicate with it? The real issue here is that your subconscious mind can ONLY communicate through emotion. The conscious mind CANNOT communicate with the subconscious mind at all. It only “speaks” thoughts and concepts, not emotions.
This has been a recurring challenge for many crystal healers. Conversation and consulting help are essential, but an excellent adjunct approach is now available.
We can use symbols, emotional images, and stories to evoke feelings that will transmit the unconscious programming we need to change. We have a wonderful tool at our disposal that has been around for eons but is gaining in popularity again. That tool is the Tarot.
The Tarot cards, through their imagery, can serve as a conduit for this essential healing communication. The Tarot is a channel for connecting the conscious and the subconscious allowing for effective crystal healing to occur.
SECRET THREE
Engaged Care and Ritual
Affects the Cure
The drama of health care can alleviate symptoms and change the course of a disease without pharmaceuticals. Rituals, words, engagement, appearances, location, touch, an air of authority, and signs of competence are all parts of the “art of medicine.” Art can be as powerful as science.
The art of care is as important as the science of cure. Good care makes good medicines better. Words of hope and acts of kindness and decency trigger the brain’s predictive mechanisms. The brain processes the environment and expects symptomatic relief.
This is a survival mechanism of our species - anticipation.
The elaborate context of healing rituals that constitute a healing session is paramount to its success. This is neuroscience. These factors have real biological effects on the immune and other bodily systems. They have a great effect on our “experience of being ill” and our feelings about it.
Do not underestimate the power of ritual in healing. We are all programmed to believe in it.
SECRET FOUR
The Location Affects the Efficacy
of Any Crystal Healing Regimen
Crystal healing is a therapy associated with the Universal Life Force or Chi as it is often called. This force meanders slowly when it is healthy and life-bringing (positive energy). It drifts and wanders, flowing easily and bringing the breath of life.
This force becomes unhealthy (negative energy) when it is either blocked and becomes stagnant or forced into hard fast lanes where it becomes destructive.
The practice of Feng Shui is the practice of arranging an environment that keeps the life force energy flowing and balanced so that we can live, thrive, grow, and heal. The practice of Feng Shui is essential to effective crystal healing.
Any attempts to heal when the life force is diminished or blocked will be unsuccessful. This is the reason for the Crystal Feng Shui Community in the Crystal Inner Circle, to have a place to find Feng Shui experts who understand crystal healing needs and issues.
SECRET FIVE
The Moon’s Travels Determine
Which Crystal Healing Will
Be Successful
This Secret is probably the most overlooked of all the secrets of crystal healing. Only the most astute and learned practitioners are really aware of the Mansions of the Moon and their healing energies
The Mansions of the Moon are the 28 divisions of the Zodiac that the Moon transits during its monthly cycle around the Earth reflecting and shaping the life-enabling, healing currents as they are refracted by the stars.
These currents descend to the Earth with certain strengths and effects depending on the Moon’s journey, alignment with the Earth, and the Mansion it happens to be transiting. If we have a clear vision of the energies of each of the Mansions, we can track the Moon’s monthly travel and know for certain which times are auspicious and which are inauspicious for bringing specific energies down into our crystals for our meditation practice or healing sessions.
SECRET SIX
The Phase of the Moon Determines
the Type of Healing That Can
Be Accomplished
One of the heavenly bodies has much more influence than the others - the Moon. It touches us more deeply than the other celestial bodies. Other than the Sun, it is by far the largest in the sky, the closest, and the one that gives us our souls, our moods, and our feelings.
We saw the Moon from our earliest moments when we were infants still in our mother’s embrace. We never separate that in our subconscious. The Moon is part of our being and daily lives. We cycle through emotions and, through the Moon’s energy, we attempt to balance our lives and our emotions.
Certain healing energies must be aligned with the Moon’s waxing phase. This is the time of healing regimens that are designed to attract benefits, bringing positive change: growth, luck, and love. Other healing energies must be aligned with the waning Moon. For more precise crystal healing regimens and treatments, the cycles can be further divided.
SECRET SEVEN
The Crystal Energy Lattice Shapes
and Forms the Healing Energy
Using our modern instruments, we can now explore the very energy lattices that define and shape a crystal’s core power. With modern capabilities, we can now understand how crystal energy lattices work.
Scientists have found that there are six different internal crystal lattices. All crystals form in one of these arrangements. Each of the different arrangements of atoms forms a particular energy conduit.
Understanding hidden crystal energy structures and seeing how they are aligned with basic human needs allows for effective crystal healing. Knowing how these energy structures match human needs will help you understand which minerals, crystals, and gems have certain powers to heal.
Often poor results from crystal healing come from a lack of consideration and understanding of the influence of the crystal lattice in which the crystal is formed.
SECRET EIGHT
The Earth Energy of Crystals
Align Their Healing Energies
Every crystal has a fundamental, elemental Earth power - its raw chemical power base. The very atoms and molecules of carbon, silicon, oxygen, and other elements give crystals their fundamental Earth power and form the building blocks of the crystal energy matrices discussed in Secret Seven.
Modern science has now organized the mineral kingdom into eight classes based on chemistry. Each of the eight classes of minerals has a unique basic Earth power of healing based on its chemical energy. Using crystals effectively requires a clear understanding of how a crystal’s chemical makeup affects its healing powers.
SECRET NINE
The Color Energy of the Crystal
Dominates its Healing Energies
With the research of today’s practitioners of biology, biochemistry, and physics, along with the modern psychological studies of the fundamental effects of color on human bodies and minds, we now know the real, natural effects of the gemstone, crystal, and mineral color influence rays. Simply put, the color of the healing crystal has a profound effect on its healing properties and uses.
Through the color rays, our crystals can connect us to the Earth and its Life Force, combining its natural energy with our minds and spirits. The colors of crystals mirror the colors of the cycles of life on the Earth.
The last 12 parts of this lesson have explained this Secret. The hundreds of Crystal Inner Circle posts and articles that were presented in those parts show you how the Crystal Inner Circle is set up to enable you to use these ten secrets in your life.
SECRET TEN
Cleansing the Crystal
is Imperative
Spiritual Cleansing is the process of using the natural elements (air, earth, fire, and water) energy to balance the spiritual energy within a crystal. This is also known as the spiritual clearing of a crystal and is sometimes called crystal purification.
In an earlier lesson, we covered the use of the Water element. There are methods and reasons for using the other elements - Air, Earth, and Fire to cleanse crystals. Each has many specific uses.

Lesson 5 - Crystal Grids (part 1)
In this lesson, we turn to the mysteries, wonder, and power of crystal grids. When crystals are arranged properly on a well-designed grid, their energies are combined, magnified, and reinforced.
Combining the energies of different crystals according to the patterns of life allows for the creation of crystal grids to be used for virtually any purpose. Using crystal grids effectively will allow you to combine the power of the fundamental designs that form our universe with the healing and spiritual energies of crystals.
Crystal grids will greatly expand the effectiveness of crystals by combining their energies. Combining crystal energies in certain orders and within specific forms and structures, when done with understanding and knowledge, provides a way to greatly expand the power and energy of crystals in wonderful and highly effective ways.
Like the difference between a single player on a sports field and a full team in formation for a play, a crystal by itself certainly has energy and capability, but when it is part of a well-constructed grid, its effects can be combined with those of other crystals.
Combining grid structures and crystal energies needs to be done with knowledge. Putting a bunch of highly skilled sports players on a field in a random formation would not produce an effective result. Even having a good organizational structure but placing the players in the wrong places would still not be effective. The combination of the right crystals in the right places on the right grid is required for optimum results.
Knowing which crystals to use and where to place them requires knowledge of the energies of crystals—their crystal energy matrices and their color rays of influence. To know which grid pattern to use, we need to unlock the secrets of the universal patterns of life. We next need to apply that knowledge to focus, amplify, and harmonize the energies of the crystals. We need to be able to see the energy flows in the patterns, and we need to understand how the designs align and focus on the many types of crystal energies.
What is a Crystal Grid?
To begin, let’s define a crystal grid. A crystal grid is a predefined set of multiple crystals arranged in a harmonic, usually geometric, relationship. This combination and arrangement of crystals work synergistically with the design to convert and focus the external energy that impinges upon it in a variety of forms (e.g., sound, light, electromagnetism) into a unified energy field tuned to a particular need or requirement.
In short, a crystal grid is an arrangement of crystals on a specific design or shape that focuses the Universal Life Force in a particular way for a particular purpose.
In our practice, we are often asked, “Just why do I need a crystal grid? Isn’t the energy in a single crystal enough for my needs?”
The answer to these questions (like the answer to many questions) is “it depends.” There are many times when a single crystal can be all that is required for a particular need. Properly prepared and used, crystals can be highly effective in channeling the Universal Life Force to meet a need. But sometimes you need more.
You might need the extra help of different energies that cannot be found in a single crystal. You might need to tune, further amplify, combine, or shape a crystal’s energy with other energies for a particular need. When you find that your needs exceed what a single crystal can help you accomplish, you are ready for a crystal grid.
The crystals on a crystal grid are not random selections. They are chosen carefully, based on a clear understanding of the energies of the individual crystals. This knowledge is expanded further with insight into the interactions of those energies with other crystal energies. For this lesson, we will build on what we have learned in Lesson 4.
Each color ray brings us certain energies. We will apply that knowledge as we build our grids in this lesson of the Basic Course.
Be advised that in advanced grid design, the crystal lattice and the chemical Earth energy of the crystal are also design considerations. But there is plenty of information on just using the color of crystals on grids in the Crystal Inner Circle. Let’s look at a few articles on that very subject.
The design of crystal grids is most often based on Sacred Geometry and the basic patterns of life.
The Universe—in particular, our world and its minerals, plants, and animals—is an incredibly rich design composed of energy and matter. While this rich tapestry of life has a complexity beyond knowing at the subatomic level, it manifests that complexity using basic patterns that we can clearly see and understand.
Dating back to antiquity, our study of cosmic design, called Sacred Geometry, has revealed the basic patterns of life. Sacred geometry is the collection of ideas that seeks to understand the mind of our Creator through the geometry of creation.
Seekers of knowledge and wisdom about the universe and those who seek to guide and benefit from the patterns of life that exist in this universe have turned to Sacred Geometry for insight and understanding.
All of existence is built on a few fundamental design elements. Sacred Geometry teaches us that the seemingly endless number of complex patterns of matter are all built on simple shapes of circles, squares, and triangles that, when manifested in three dimensions, produce spheres, cubes, tetrahedrons, and other solid forms that are the building blocks of existence.
The Platonic Solids—the three-dimensional manifestations of simple circles, squares, and triangles—are the basic design of everything. They form the animals, plants, and minerals of our world and the Universe. We humans, like the animals, plants, and minerals of our Earth, are all made of the same sub-subatomic particles and energies that manifest the basic cosmic design. We are complex organisms, but we are built on basic patterns of life and are nurtured by the energy of the Universal Life Force.
When we understand these patterns of life, we can apply that knowledge to combine and focus the unique energy of crystals by arranging the crystals using these patterns. Using crystal grids, we can combine the power of the patterns of life with the specific energies of certain crystals in ways that expand, focus, align, and combine healing and spiritual energies. We can understand these patterns and choose the correct ones for our needs by examining the ancient teachings of Sacred Geometry.
Review
Crystal grids are built from component parts. Each part has a purpose. These components include the grid design based on Sacred Geometry that creates the paths of energy, the visual element upon which the design is formed, the individual crystals that make up the grid, and the optional perimeter that protects the grid.
A wand is used to activate a grid but is not part of the grid. Building and energizing a powerful grid requires an understanding of each of these parts and an appreciation for how they all fit together effectively.
