Lesson 5 - Crystal Grids (part 2)

Overview

Grids use a number of standard parts that, when combined with knowledge and skill, can produce a powerful, synergistic combination of crystal energies. This part of the Grid Lesson explains each of these elements.

The Path

The Path is the energy conduit that aligns, transmits, and guides the energy flow to achieve our desires. The Path is the map of energy flow within the grid.

There is a great synergy to be gained when the path is aligned with the energy of the crystals on it. The energy system that results is one of great power.

The universal life force is gathered, focused, and amplified effectively in a well-designed crystal grid with paths that channel our energy effectively.

The Grid Design

(The next part of Lesson 5 Crystal Grids will examine the designs of grids in detail.  Here we will provide a quick overview.)

Grid designs are selected to provide an energy path that is consistent with the objectives of the grid. Usually, a grid design is based on Sacred Geometry, the blueprint of the Universe.

  • We use the circle when our path is to a goal of protection or completeness.
  • We use the Seed of Life design to get a path to harmony, balance, sincerity, and truth.
  • The Vesica Piscis brings a path to common ground.
  • The Borromean Rings design brings us a path to family, community, and friends in harmony. It is also the design that brings us the energy paths of bonding and integration.
  • The Tripod of Life has the paths to help us find a balance between the energy we actually have and the demands we place on ourselves, tempering our desires with our capabilities.
  • Squares are used to provide paths for dealing with the stress of new beginnings and endings. They help us change direction yet stay in balance.
  • The Pentagon and other designs all provide paths that focus, align, and channel the Universal Life Force in particular patterns we can use effectively in our grids.

Grid Visuals

Our crystal grids can be enriched by both design and color patterns. A background scene of robust health and vigorous activities we enjoy when we achieve good health can enhance a grid designed to improve our health. A grid for increased wealth can be enhanced with a background of the money or the things we desire. The background can give form to our desire.

Grids are also enhanced by the addition of color energy that complements the grid crystal color energy. The potential designs and color schemes are infinite. The key is the alignment of the colors, patterns, crystals, and purpose in a synergistic design.

Grids can also be enhanced and empowered by the addition of affirmations. Affirmations are statements of the desired state. For example, a grid to bring scholarly energy to an effort to pass an important test could be built on a paper that says “I received an A today in algebra.” Such a statement affirms the result of the effort that the grid was built to support.

All of these elements can be combined. A grid to help secure a new job could be built on a visual of a design consisting of money and symbols of money such as dollar signs. The grid could have colors that complement the desire, and the picture could have the words “I got the job!” printed boldly in the middle.

The Grid Crystal Elements

There are five normal grid crystal elements: the Focus Stone, the Way Stones, the Spirit Stones, the Desire Stones, and the Perimeter.

The Focus Stone

The Focus Stone is the crystal that is located in the center of a crystal grid or at its selected focus of power. Its primary purpose is to collect the Universal Life Force and channel it through the grid. The Focus Stone draws the energy down and inward, essentially creating a flowing wave of coherent energy that is then coalesced and amplified through the crystal’s internal energy lattice and dispersed down the paths of the grid.

We choose Focus Stones and crystals for grids based on their ability to focus and amplify the Universal Life Force for a specific purpose using their crystal energy lattice and their color rays of influence. The Focus Stone brings in the Universal Life Force, shapes it through its crystal energy lattice, modifies it with its color energy, and sends it down the paths to the Way Stones.

The Way Stones

The Way Stones then further modify the energy. Their work is similar to a pump in a water system. Water flows down a pipe, but if a pump is added, it can amplify and modify the flow. Way Stones do exactly that—they amplify and further modify the universal energy flowing in the paths of the grid. Their effects, like that of a Focus Stone, are dependent on their crystal energy lattice and their color rays.

The purpose of Way Stones is quite specific. It is usually not possible to go directly to any goal or desire. Usually, there are one or more intermediate steps that need to be taken obstacles to overcome, or challenges to meet. We cannot score a high mark on a test without first studying effectively. We cannot win a track meet without first developing sufficient strength and conditioning. We need to become organized before we can focus on important things.

The Way Stones represent the intermediate points on our way to our ultimate desire. They give us the energy to take things one step at a time. They lead us on our path to our desires. In general, the primary influence of the Way Stones is color. They have much more color influence on the grid than the single Focus Stone.

Because color energy is so important for Way Stones, they are generally selected from opaque, well-colored stones. While transparent crystals are good for the Focus Stone, tumbled stones and even small rocks make excellent Way Stones. They are usually less expensive and come in a myriad of colors.

The Spirit Stones

Spirit stones are the ring or pattern of stones that are added to a grid to seek the intercession of a spirit being such as a particular Angel, God, Goddess, or other inhabitants of the spirit plane to assist with the intention of the grid.

This set of stones is usually a ring of opaque stones or transparent crystals between the Way Stones and the Desire Stones. The selection of the Spirit Stones is based on the attributes and personalities of the spirit whose intercession is desired.

The Desire Stones

Desire Stones are the outermost stones on a crystal grid. They represent the end state that the grid is constructed to produce. The selection of Desire Stones is based on the specific final purpose of the grid. These stones gather the energy that has been focused and shaped by the Focus Stone, the Way Stones, and the Path. They give the Universal Life Force its final shaping and tuning to the desired outcome of the crystal grid. They are chosen in a similar manner to the Way Stones - by their crystal energy lattice and by their color rays.

Desire Stones are often crystals or stones that would be used alone to accomplish something. However, using multiple ones and having them fed with focused and amplified energy gives them much more energy to accomplish their purpose.

The interaction of the Focus Stone (gathering the Universal Life Force and amplifying it), the Way Stones (shaping its energy), the Path (bringing the power of the Patterns of Life), the Spirit Stones (bringing the intercession of a particular spirit), and the Desire Stone (manifesting that energy to us) gives life to our crystal grids. Each plays a part, and the synergy of a well-constructed grid brings us the energy and power we need to improve and enrich our lives and the lives of others.

The Perimeter

The ability of a grid to focus and multiply the Universal Life Force unhampered by negativity is assured through the use of a Perimeter.

Perimeters are a grouping of stones or crystals that serve to protect the grid from outside negative influences or ill will. Perimeters, like the walls of a castle, are meant to contain, protect, and defend against attack. They protect the grid from outside disruptions and influences.

There are many sources of negative energy and negativity. Grids do not work well in such environments, just as people do not work well in hostile environments. Using a Perimeter is like buying insurance. Your grid may not need it, but adding it can certainly give you some assurance it will operate at its maximum potential by keeping its energy flow clear and interference-free.

The Activation Wand

Grids work best when activated. A wand is used for this purpose. Wands for activating a crystal grid can be made from a variety of materials. A wand can be as simple as a small twig from a tree, a crystal tied to the end of a stick, or a complex creation of aligned crystals. Many are available on the web. However, you can certainly make your own.

The key ingredients are a rod of some sort and a crystal at one end. The wand is used to move the crystal through motions that activate the crystal grid. It is guided by your mind and your intentions and connects them to the energy flow of the grid.

Clear quartz crystals are usually used on wands simply because they are plentiful, and fortunately, they work well. But other gems and minerals that are synergistic with the crystals of the grid, particularly the Desire Stones also are an excellent choice.

The wand can be made from a variety of sources. Choose one that you feel matches your personality. The choice of a wand is one best made by emotion.

Review

The parts of a grid are selected to work synergistically for the particular desire to be manifested. Understanding the composition and the roles of each part of a grid is the beginning point for being successful in designing and building grids.

Lesson 5 - Crystal Grids (part 3)

Grid Design

There are many designs that are useful for building grids. As previous parts of this lesson have explained, the most useful are the fundamental designs on which the Universe is built. The circle, the vesica piscis, the Tripod of Life, the square, the triangle, and others are both popular and effective.

In this part of the lesson, we will examine the use of a few of these. There are many more than we can discuss in this basic course. The Eye of Horus, the Tree of Life, the Heavenly City, and many more are useful.

The Crystal Inner Circle's Crystal Grid Community is where you can find the information, guidance, and help you need to continue exploring the wonders of crystal grids. Our experts include Hank Mason, your instructor in this course, Brittani Petrofsky, his co-author of the 2016 book, Crystal Grids: How to Combine & Focus Crystal Energies to Enhance Your Life, and other users. We are here to help and guide you as you explore and grow your abilities to build and use grids effectively.

The Circle

The circle symbol is universal in meaning. It is a sacred symbol that represents the infinite and the inclusiveness of the Cosmos. Angels are shown with circles above their heads - halos are circles representing the divine nature of God.

In Chinese symbology, the circle signifies the Heavens. The Native Americans' prayer wheel, the campfire circle, and the shape of Celtic symbols for unity and spirituality -- all circles: the prime symbol of Unity, and the fundamental shape of everything.

Plato called the circle "the most perfect shape." The most ancient of cave art shows circles It is the symbol of the beginning - the womb, the Priestess, the Mother. It is the most primal of shapes.

When we seek fundamental desires and when we face fundamental questions, we must use grids that are simple - powerful, and fundamental. Any grid that is focused on singularity, origin, unity, completeness, inclusion, and new beginnings can be based on a circle design. Circle grids bring us energy paths of original thought, divine will, unity, and purposeful action. They bring the concept of beginning, birth, and initiation to our grids.

The Vesica Piscis

The power of the two overlapping circles is the focus area: the football shape that is created within both circles. It is equally part of both circles. This shape is called the vesica piscis. It is also called the womb of the Universe, the womb of Chaos, the womb of the Goddess of Night, and the mandorla.

This form is the second form of Sacred Geometry and one of the most ancient of symbols. The overlapping circles represent the coming together of heaven and earth, the divine and the human, the night and the day, male and female, life and death, and every other overlapping of opposite energies.

The vesica piscis is a very powerful grid design. It is used to bring together opposites, bridge misunderstandings, and unite that which is separate. It will focus our crystal energies to bridge spiritual needs and physical desires. It will inspire action that is collaborative, resolve conflicts, and focus on the power of compromise and common ground.

A key use of the vesica piscis form is for healing grids. The vesica piscis binds together that which is separate. It brings together and heals separations of both people and of an individual's body and spirit. It is a symbol of "making whole" that which has been separated. It is love reborn, friendship renewed, hearts mended, and families reunited. Experiencing the energy of the vesica piscis is powerful medicine.

Tripod of Life

The Tripod of Life is the three overlapping vesicae piscis. The Tripod of Life has the energy of the Borromean Rings but concentrates the energies of the overlapping Vesicae Piscis giving us a grid for uses where we seek balance, centering, and unity of overlapping (conflicting) demands.

It blends logic, emotion, and reality. It bridges the disparate energies of daily life with the demands we place on ourselves and the demands of others. It is also our design of choice for grids to focus the Universal Life Force on creative endeavors. It is used to cure writer's block, inspire artists and painters, gather new ideas for inventors, and spark the creative juices of artists, composers, dancers, songwriters, and musicians.

The Tripod of Life gives stability to our creative side. It helps us see the need for all elements of life to be in balance. We honor our past, enjoy our present, and plan for our future. We have self, family, and work to keep in balance. We use grid designs of the Tripod of Life to support our efforts to keep centered and balance the myriad of demands on us. These are grids of new life, new adventures, and new starts. They are for creative ventures' success.

The Triangle

The triangle shape is very similar in its uses to the Tripod of Life design. It brings the power of three to our grids: it brings the spirit, mind, and body together. It blends logic, emotion, and reality. It bridges the disparate energies of daily life with the demands we place on ourselves and the demands of others. The triangle represents that which is solid, real, substantial, and complete.

The triangle has several forms. By definition, a triangle has three sides and a combination of internal angles that add to 180 degrees. Any of the usual shapes of triangles work well on crystal grids. The equilateral triangle is the most popular.

Because of its nature to expand endlessly filling space, the triangle is a powerful basis for crystal grids that seek to bring increasing capabilities, increasing social contact, growth, expansion of business, new knowledge, and skills, increased consciousness, or any need where we seek to enhance a situation.

The triangle also brings us simplicity and the serenity that goes with it. It simplifies. It connects our consciousness to the spirit world and to our inner self. The Triangle is therefore also used for grids designed to simplify our lives and to connect ourselves to the Spirit World and to our inner visions and desires.

The Seed of Life

The Seed of Life brings six vesica piscis elements and seven circles to the pattern. Connecting the most distant points on each circle can create the eighth circle. In this way, an inner circle and an outer circle energy pattern are created. The inner circle unites and multiplies the energy of the vesica piscis. The outer circle bounds the design, and serves as a barrier to negativity, protecting the energy field within.

The Seed of Life is one of the most useful designs for crystal grids. It has a center point of power, a ring of unity, and a protective shield. It has six-fold symmetry.

Grids based on the Seed of Life bring us the energy to complete a task or goal successfully. Many grids are focused on getting something done, successfully changing something, or accomplishing a goal or effort. The Seed of Life with its symmetry, hexagonal structure, and ability to promote harmony and balance is an excellent basis for grids.

The Square

A square is the symbol of perfect symmetry. Each side and each angle are exactly the same. You can divide a square top and bottom or left and right, the shapes and areas are all the same. The square is the shape of completeness, as is the circle. It can contain a circle, or be contained within a circle.

The square is also the symbol of comprehension and measure. Each side can be measured precisely and the distance around is the sum of the lengths of the four sides. In this way, a square can manifest Unity. The square gives us the concepts of borders, edges, measurement, absolute knowledge, preciseness, balance, beginnings, and endings. In Chinese symbolism, the square represents the earth, a manifestation of the circle, which is the sky or Heaven.

Squares are used for crystal grids when the need is to find limits, to know how much is enough, and to see where we should stop. Squares are used for dealing with the stresses of endings. They help us change direction, yet stay in balance. Grids built on Squares are powerful aids in our efforts to contain our excesses and set boundaries for ourselves.

Grids built on the square give us precision - truth, honesty, structure, stability, and confidence. Square grids are excellent for bringing and amplifying the Universal Life Force to provide us with the power to do the right things, be loyal, and be confident.

Grids built on the square give us order - alignment of goals and means, regulation of processes, teamwork, community, construction, limits, edges, and boundaries.
