Skull Bottle Neccklace with Bloodstone Chips

Talisman or Amulet: Bloodstone is a Seeker Transformer. Seeker Transformers are talismans used when the desire is to transform a part of one’s life into a more desirable state. Seekers are used when we need help finding a new path, a new approach, or in any quest to gain what we desire but do not yet possess.  When they possess the Earth Power of the Transformer, like this Bloodstone, they have the power to aid us to find new relationships that will transform some part of our life. This Bloodstone is a safety talisman, a talisman of profit, and a personal talisman for long-term efforts toward financial security in old age.

Color Energy: Bloodstone combines the energies of green and red. Green is the color of growth, renewal, nature, and life. It brings energies of development, abundance, and the freedom to pursue new directions. Red brings the energy of fire, passion, courage, and vitality. It inspires action, determination, and the strength to overcome challenges. Together, the green and red energies of Bloodstone create a powerful combination for renewal, endurance, courage, and the vigorous pursuit of one’s goals.

Goddess: Bloodstone may be used in honoring Brigid, the Celtic Goddess of Healing, Fire, and Inspiration; Sekhmet, the Egyptian Goddess of War and Healing; and Morrigan, the Celtic Goddess associated with courage, battle, strength, and transformation. Its strong connection with vitality, courage, and renewal also makes Bloodstone an appropriate offering or devotional stone for goddesses associated with healing, protection, and personal strength.

Healing: Bloodstone is particularly associated with the Root and Heart Chakras. Its red markings stimulate the Root Chakra, strengthening our connection to the physical world and encouraging vitality, courage, security, and determination. Its dominant green energy resonates with the Heart Chakra, helping restore balance to our interactions with the world and encouraging emotional resilience, compassion, and renewal. Bloodstone is an excellent crystal when you feel depleted, discouraged, or overwhelmed, helping restore a sense of strength and encouraging you to meet life’s challenges with courage and confidence.

Zodiac: Bloodstone is traditionally associated with Aries (March 21–April 19) and is also one of the traditional birthstones of March. Its energies of courage, determination, action, and vitality complement the bold and energetic nature of Aries. Bloodstone encourages perseverance while helping temper impulsiveness with patience and resilience, making it a useful talisman for channeling strong personal energy toward productive goals.

Feng Shui: Bloodstone carries primarily Wood Energy through its dominant green color, bringing the energies of growth, expansion, renewal, and new beginnings. Use Bloodstone in the East area of a home or room to support family, health, and vitality, or in the Southeast to encourage prosperity, abundance, and continued growth. Its red inclusions introduce a touch of Fire Energy, adding motivation, enthusiasm, and action to its otherwise steady and nourishing green energy. Bloodstone is especially useful in spaces devoted to work, exercise, healing, or personal development.

Divination: Bloodstone is a stone of courage in the face of uncertainty. In divination, its message is often one of perseverance: remain strong, trust your instincts, and continue forward even when the path becomes difficult. Its appearance may indicate that a challenge requires action rather than retreat, or that you already possess the strength necessary to overcome the situation before you. Bloodstone reminds us that difficult circumstances can become opportunities for renewal, growth, and greater personal strength.

Meditation: Bloodstone is an excellent meditation crystal when strength, courage, renewal, or determination is needed. Hold Bloodstone during meditation and allow its deep green energy to bring a sense of stability and restoration, while its red markings awaken vitality and resolve. It is particularly useful when preparing to face a difficult situation, recovering from an emotionally draining experience, or beginning a new chapter in life. Meditating with Bloodstone encourages you to draw upon your inner reserves of strength, let go of hesitation, and move forward with renewed confidence and purpose.
