Description: A highly polished sphere of deep red jasper. The jasper mined near the village of Hotazhel in the Northern Karoo desert of the Cape Province of South Africa.It contains ferric and manganese oxide mixed with spots of melted streaks of crystal. This sphere is one of the very rare specimens containing almost entirely a heavy concentration of pure iron. Burning deep red color.
