Finding Inspiration with Crystals

Inspiration – it’s such a beautiful thing when it strikes us. You don’t have to be an artist, painter, musician, or writer to appreciate some inspiration finding its way to your life. If you look up the definition of inspiration you will find, the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative.

If there is one thing crystals are good at, it is stimulating us. The soothing vibrations and powerful color rays can inspire us to think, feel, and do. If you need to be motivated for a big talk at work, taking a risky leap, or confessing your love to someone, crystals that provide you with inspiration can help.

At the onset of the darkness of winter, the oranges and reds of autumn give way to the deeper winter tones of violet and blue. The skies are darker with less sunshine; the earth takes on the darker hue of winter’s majesty. Like the sleepy, misty time of year that produces its rays, violet is the color ray of intuition, dreams, nobility, and luxury.

As the color ray of influence that begins the cycle of life once again, violet is one of the most powerful rays in nature. Violet color rays are powerful aids in interpreting our dreams, inspiring us to great deeds and accomplishments, and putting the magic back in our lives and relationships.

Use Violet Crystals for Inspiration

Violet SymbolPure violet color rays are absolutely the best color choice for inspiration. It inspires awe and invites a feeling of mystery and magic, reminiscent of the mystery and magic of life’s rejuvenation and renewal. If you are a musician looking for inspiration, you will be happy to know that violet is the color of music; it stirs us, transforms us, and connects us in seemingly mysterious ways to our dreams, our past, and ourselves.

Violet crystals also bring your Fire Energy. Fire energy is the energy of enthusiasm, warmth, brightness, illumination, and activity. It is Yang in nature. It is the energy of heat, action, emotion, and passion- of ideas, of concepts, and sex. It is alive, potent, but often destructive. We all need the heat, passion, and life-giving energy of the fire element. It is a powerful element that must be used in moderation.

Ametrine

Ametrine Tumbled Set (Extra large)-0Ametrine is a wonderful talisman for use in the creative arts. If you paint, draw, sculpt, write, or create in any way, keep a nice ametrine crystal or crystal cluster in the area to focus and amplify the creative elements of the Universal Life Force.

Ametrine is also a well-known healer that has profound effects in balancing the crown chakra. If you are feeling out of sorts, blocked, and mentally clumsy, try a short session with an ametrine, you will likely find yourself refreshed, alert, and back in control.

When you need to be inspired, to be able to create in an artistic way, use an ametrine crystal to focus and energize your creativity. It is also a very popular and effective meditation crystal. It helps you visualize new ideas, helps you solidify ideas into reality, and helps your mind focus on its internal creative powers.

Spirit Quartz

Spirit Quartz is an unusual member of the Quartz family – a community within a stone. Its core, a larger, candle-shaped crystal with a faceted termination point, is encrusted with hundreds of smaller crystal termination points. Also referred to as Cactus Quartz or Porcupine Quartz, it is found only in the Magaliesberg Mountain region of South Africa.

Bringing inspiration and ideas, Spirit Quartz stimulates creativity and is particularly helpful in artistic endeavors. It brings a mix and balance of passion, imagination, emotion, and logic. It tempers those who tend to be self-centered, confrontational, egoistic or anti-social, and assists those with a fear of social situations to be more open and friendly.

Spirit Quartz relieves acute loneliness or a sense of being different from other members of the family, and assists in finding common ground with others.

SUMMARY

Inspiration can come at the most inopportune times and for some of us, it may be hard to even find it at all. We need inspiration though, even if we aren’t pursuing the arts. We need it to write a paper, come up with creative solutions to our problems, or to find some strings of happiness in the darkness. If you are in the arts, crystals can bring you inspiration in so many forms such as sculpting, painting, writing, music, acting, and more.

If you are looking to find some inspiration we suggest you use violet colored crystals such as  Ametrine and/or Spirit Quartz. You can also try crystals other authors have recommended such as ChrysocollaMoss Agate, and Spinel.
