The source of the Samadhi Quartz, the Kullu Valley, once housed at least twenty Buddist monistaries as well as fifteen or so Hindu temples. Many still make the difficult journey to visit the famous temples and meditation areas of the region, as well as to take part in the Buddhist and Hindu festivals.
