Notice in the pictures that you can clearly see what appears to be another crystal inside the clear crystal.
Now you know what a "Phantom" crystal should look like.
Here is how Lin describes a Phantom:
"The appearance of an outline or a solid body of another crystal within the host crystal caused by an interruption in the growth of the host, and allowing the extra material to settle on the initial growth. Phantoms may be blue, black, tan, green, amethyst, smoky, all quartz, combination of these and with white, or white alone; and variance in texture from solid to the most finely ground pepper. "
